Pandemic Shifts Plans

COVID-19 Impacts to the Sanctuary

Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary staff, like so many others, have been teleworking from home since March 2020, due to the rapid spread of COVID-19. Since then, the staff has transitioned to virtual meetings, shared digital documents, and upended science and education schedules. With many planned activities cancelled this year, the Sanctuary staff is looking to reschedule some of those activities next year and convert other activities to take place remotely. The Foundation looks forward to supporting education and science activities that can become remote as well as those that will have to wait until COVID-19 is no longer a threat.
