Susan Williams Memorial Fund contribution
Dr. Susan Williams helped lead the effort to establish the Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary. She testified before Congress in support of National Marine Sanctuary status for this unique undersea mountain of life. Up until her untimely death in 2018, Susan worked to further the goals of research and education at Cordell Bank and at UC Davis Bodega Marine Lab. For several years she served on the Cordell Marine Sanctuary Foundation Board, providing leadership and direction. In 2020, the Foundation donated $1000 in Susan’s memory to the Dr. Susan Lynn Williams Memorial Fund that will fund student scholarships at UC Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory.
